Greetings,
I’m Alice (she/they), a Clinical Social Worker living and working on the traditional lands of the Watlala bands of the Chinook, Multnomah, Cowlitz, Kathlamet, Tualatin Kalapuya, Clackamas, Molalla and numerous other tribes whose people passed through what is now called Portland, OR from time immemorial.
I’ve worked with children, families, and adults since 2014 and started my private practice in 2020. I enjoy supporting people in understanding the way their childhood experiences are shaping their present. I also love helping people understand one another better, particularly within the parent/adult child relationship. I believe therapy is a co-creative space and I deeply honor the therapeutic relationship. I’m licensed in Oregon and New York and provide therapy in English and Spanish.
Intentions:
I aim to seek consent at all times.
I aim to be clear and direct in my communication around scheduling, billing, and therapeutic expectations.
I commit to continually engage with others’ contributions towards the field of trauma, embodiment, healing, resiliency, grief, white supremacy, generational wisdom and what may arise that I lack knowledge of.
I aim to do no harm and acknowledge when I do.
I commit to being in relationship with my own personal and ancestral healing.
I aim to show up as a human, not an expert. To acknowledge when I do not know and to interrogate my assumptions.
I aim to be tender and caring and confident in holding emotional space for you.
I aim to honor all beings.
